Visitors will notice that our worship is Bible-based and God-centered.  In the days of the apostles, each church met on Sunday (the first day of the week).  The Bible teaches in Acts 20:7, “On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul began talking to them...” (NASB). “Breaking bread” or the “Lord’s Supper” is a memorial of Christ’s death.  Jesus said in Luke 22:19, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”  At this time in our worship, we reflect on the sacrifice of our Lord on our behalf in a respectful and grateful manner.                                                  

Los visitantes notarán que nuestra adoración es basada en la Biblia y centrada en Dios.  En los días de los apóstoles, cada iglesia se reunía en domingo (el primer día de la semana).  La Biblia enseña en Hechos 20:7, "Y el primer día de la semana, cuando estábamos reunidos para partir el pan, Pablo les hablaba..." (LBLA).  "Romper el pan" o la "cena del Señor" es un memorial de la muerte de Cristo.  Jesús dijo en Lucas 22:19, "Esto es mi cuerpo que por vosotros es dado; haced esto en memoria de Mí” (LBLA).  En este momento de nuestra adoración, reflexionamos sobre el sacrificio de nuestro Señor para nuestro beneficio en una manera respetuosa y agradecida.                                                       

The singing found in the New Testament was vocal only (a capella). In Ephesians 5:19 the Bible says, “Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord” (NASB).  Singing together provides the opportunity to praise God and encourage one another.  Our singing is joyful, reflective, encouraging and passionate.

El canto en el Nuevo Testamento era solamente vocal (a capella). En Efesios 5:19 la Biblia dice, "hablando entre vosotros con salmos, himnos y cantos espirituales, cantando y alabando con vuestro corazón al Señor" (LBLA).  Cantando juntos ofrece la oportunidad de alabar a Dios y animarnos los unos a los otros.  Nuestro canto es gozoso, reflexivo, alentador y apasionado.     

Prayer has always been an integral part of service to God. The church of our Lord was devoted to prayer, Acts 2:42.  According to James 5:16, prayer makes a difference in our lives. We praise God and make requests, on behalf of ourselves and others, in a humble and thankful manner.                     

La oración siempre ha sido una parte integral del servicio a Dios. La iglesia de nuestro Señor se dedicó a la oración (Hechos 2:42).  Según Santiago 5:16, la oración hace una gran diferencia en nuestras vidas. Alabamos a Dios y hacemos peticiones para nosotros mismos y a otros, en una manera humilde y agradecida. 

In the New Testament, Christians provided for the work of the church that they attended on the first day of each week, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2. Their freewill and cheerful offerings were the only source of income for churches to continue the work of the Lord.  

En el nuevo testamento, los cristianos proveían por la obra de la iglesia que se asistían el primer día de cada semana (1 Corintios 16:1-2). Sus ofrendas voluntarias y alegres eran la única fuente de ingresos para las iglesias a continuar la obra del Señor.           

During our worship period, a sermon is presented to the congregation.  Some sermons are based on a particular topic, like God’s love.  Other sermons are based on a particular section of Bible text. Ultimately, the sermons presented teach us more about God and how He wants us to live, helping us to serve Him and to serve one another.

Durante nuestro culto, un sermón se presenta a la congregación. Algunos sermones se basan en un tema en particular, como el amor de Dios.  Otros sermones se basan en una sección específica del texto de la Biblia.  En todo, los sermones presentados nos enseñan más acerca de Dios y cómo él quiere que vivamos, ayudándonos a servirle y servir el uno al otro.

At the end of each service, an opportunity is provided for anyone who decides to be baptized and commit their lives to God. Also, if anyone needs encouragement and prayers from the church a request can be made at this time.

Al final de cada servicio, se proporciona una oportunidad para cualquier persona que decide bautizarse y comprometer su vida a Dios.  También, si alguien necesitan ánimo y oraciones de la iglesia, se puede hacer una solicitud en este momento.
